Final interview with Powerlink in Brisbane

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

Have been struggling really hard to determine what am I going to do in my future… went through several interviews with Hydro, Transend, Powerlink, Zinifex and etc… and end up getting a job offer from Powerlink in Brisbane :)

My last interview with Powerlink was on 9th November, juz 5 days after my very last exam in my entire life… thought tat maybe a really exciting travel, and have pretty strong confidence on myself… taking off from Hobart airport was an exciting moment, 1st time flying over simply for an interview… leaving at 10am and transit in Sydney… it was very rush; yet finished my cappucino, it was time for boarding… now flying from Sydney to Brisbane… off i went to Powerlink :)

Now, I’m getting sick… hours sitting in the flight… then i reached Brisbane, it was not like the 1st time I been to Brisbane… it was juz like M’sia… probably this time i was in the residential area, rather than the tourism area which I’d been long time ago… It made me feel like I was in M’sia, the weather… the plant… and everything… it was juz… like M’sia…

taking the taxi and 10-15min later, i was in Powerlink… woaw… it is a big company… heard tat lots of ppl been longing to work with this company… best transmission network company in Aust perhaps?

Interviews went really good… enjoyed the conversation with the panel… they are really really friendly, and make me feel really really comfortable… interviews went for 1-2 hours… after that, i was brought around n brieved on the company history…

soon it was 4pm… & off i went back to airport… taking 5o’clock flight back to Hobart… i started to get really homesick, how i wish to get back to hobart soon…

It was a long flight back home to my beloved Hobart… I was so uncomfortable in the flight, wishing I was back in Hobart…

Yay… finally arrived in Hobart airport at 8something… approaching 9pm… and i know i love this place so much :)
