End of the story of Red Wine Tomato

Friday, October 27th, 2006

Well, I’m not going to have plenty of red wine tomato to eat as I thought… coz it has confirmed to be death. Told thomas to have changed the soil, but he nvr listen, else it could have save the little tomato plant?

We came back late last nite, and I was hmmm… kind of expected, but still quite surprise to find that tomato plant is death. Thomas was even funny, he told me that he left the plant outside, such that it could have plenty of sunshine, but when he came back in the afternoon, he was so shocked that the tomato plant was drooping and quickly grabbed it back into the room. Haih… v funny to see him growing little plant. He told me that he had grown a pretty flower once, and had to leave to a friend to take care of it, as he went back to M’sia. Yes, I saw his plant wif tat friend, it was growing v beautifully. But by the time he came back, tat friend had left the plant wif another friend. When Thomas be able to contact that other friend, his plant was found to be death. Hahahaha… I can’t help laughing at him :p

well well, we have some funny experience in growing that little plant, and also some arguments. & I’m pretty sure I’m right. Anyway, that’s another long story~

perhaps we shall go and buy another tomato plant later :p

Red Wine Tomato

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

Thomas juz bought a tomato plant, he doesn’t like tomato but I do. Initially I thought he planted it for me, but hmmm… nope, i was wrong. Most probably he likes plantations, gardening, stuff like tat, and hence the tomato plant.

one day, i saw our red wine @ home, suddenly have a thought, & suggested to Thomas that he could water the tomate plant with the red wine :p hehe & he did. I was so regret to tell him so. Anyway…

U nvr know how careful he could to look after the little tomato plant. Oh well, I shall see how long would his passion last :p

After the day of red wine watering, i could see the tomato plant shrinking instead of growing up. I blame Thomas for his stupidity, but he still couldn’t understand why was that, as he still believes red wine is good for plantation. & he did everything to try to save the little tomato plant, he keeps on watering the tomato plant, to flow away the red wine in the clay. Haha, he is more anxious abt his little plant instead of me :p he said the little tomato plant is his "baby" hahaha.

Okok… v shall see how the plant grows in a later time. This is so exciting coz I would have plenty of tomato to eat :p

Happy Mooncake Festival

Friday, October 6th, 2006

Another mooncake festival spent in Hobart~ & my dad nearly forgotten his beloved daughter on this mooncake festival day :) haha luckily he still remembered :p

My dear dear had a test this morning… somemore has another huge assignment dued for the MBA on the same day, sth related to financial analysing… poor thing…

Well somehow this guy has made me worried for the whole afternoon, and it turns out to be anger in the end. Thought of not bothering him, but today is Friday… which means he would be bz @ Mayfair. If I’m not going to grab him to come & pick me up, well, he spent the rest of his day over there. Oh well, i called him & off i left my office @ 5:30pm for a lovely weekend :) So happy~ (as long as I don’t need to sit still in my office, doing all the researches & readings :p)

Well well… I hate this moment, the time we going to have our dinner, coz I have no idea of what to eat. What I like may not be what he likes, & vice versa. We end up driving along the road, down from Sandy Bay to City, and from City to Lower Sandy Bay… & then turn back to head to Kingston when dear decided to hv dinner @ "The Beach" restaurant @ Kingston. Man, i juz hate the driving; but he has improved, at least he wouldn’t make me sucking my candy while trying to sleep last time when he drived me to "long gai". Hey, I did brush my teeth ok, just that I was too sick tat I have to have a candy in my mouth, u know tat feeling after u have a long flight (sth like tat)…

Okie… we thought this is the end, and could hv the dinner for today. Haha, v r wrong… we hv no booking & end up v hv to drive all the way back to sandy bay, & still wondering what to have for dinner. Well, he doesn’t like to think, & same do I. Nearly end up to hv dinner @ wrest point, but dear was starving, couldn’t wait for too long. So, end up dining @ Ming Court. Hehe… poor honey, he likes dead fish… by the time he drove there. Oh well, i did offer to drive but… anyway, v finally can hv our dinner peacefully after 2 1/2 hrs driving.

Haha… wat another mooncake festival. Anyway, tat’s the end of the story. Oh ya, I want to carry a lanthern, but Thomas is lying like a dead fish like this >-x> hahaha… Anyway, Happy Mooncake Festival :)

Doctorate Downunder

Thursday, October 5th, 2006

Read this guidebook written specially for PhD candidate, Keys to Successful Doctoral Study, called "Doctorate Downunder". It’s edited by Carey Denholm and Terry Evans. A very friendly and interesting book! I would like to share some of the wordings used here: -

"Undertaking a doctorate is a special experience and one that few people do more than once. It is challenging, emotionally and intellectually demanding and immensely productive." This is very true, v challenging, as I always scratch my head. Emotionally - oh yeah, ask my bf, u see "oo che" (black green - haha incase you still don’t understand, it’s bruise) on his body, hehe. Intellectually demanding - hoho, but still haven’t got too many white hair - means not using much brain, sigh -_-||| immensely productive - yeah, i hope i could get to that stage v soon, produce lotsa ideassss… useful one…

"Studying for a doctorate is hard work, certainly, but with your efforts and a little help from others, it will be one of the most satisfying and enduring achievements of your life." Yeah… v v true, hard work hard work… literature reviews, communicating & progress meeting with supervisors, blah blah blah… etc… oh well, that would be an enduring achievements in the end :)

Very funny when the book comes to the end, authors reminded us that airlines don’t seem to upgrade people with the titles ‘Dr’, they wouldn’t worry much about that, but would rather go for serious frequent flyers with heaps of airmiles! Haha… One of the editors (Terry) was woken up by the flight attendant asking if Dr Evans was a medical practitioner, as they had a sick passenger waiting for him to examine! I can’t stop laughing when I read this, haha. Well, authors suggest to get over the new title ‘Dr’ and get a first aid certificate! What a sense of humours.

A very good book indeed, I got the book today and just briefly browse through, find it v friendly & warm & comfortable. Haha… it is indeed specially designed to suit our needs. Feel as if I was lost, a bit upset… oh well, at least this book motivates me, directs me to the right path… haha like PID (proportional-integral-differential) controller, to improve the outcomes~ well well, I better get motivated & get back to my research :) towards the life of being "doctored" :)
